i know what you mean about the fading but it does not do that it is one consistent colour and yes paint can stain you just have to thin it with an oil based product meant for staining dont believe everything people tell you on here tho go out and test every little thing
you can thin paint with woodstain for nice results but i didnt use that as it would change the colour of my paint
paint can't stain, stainers stain. wood stain comes in alcohol base or oil based stain. Mixing oil based paint with an oil based wood stain and then thinning will leave behind a stain simply because of the wood stain doing what it is supposed to do. The stain isn't even that significant either because just like oil based paint oil based wood stain sits atop the surface. Now alcohol based wood stain gets into the pores and such of wood and actually STAIN the wood which is why more than 1 application is needed at times. Mixing this with paint won't really do much as alcohol + oil = don't mix so well. If you want to keep up this discussion though feel free to PM me cormac

How is chrome grog compared to black grog? And how is black grog, compared to oink. I'll be using it in a mop if that makes any difference...but yeah if I'm buying ink I want it to be the best possible if you think this is a stupid question
i can't tell what that is.. EDIT: there ya go. [Broken External Image]:http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7650/yuckasjt3.jpg [Broken External Image]:http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/7650/yuckasjt3.d11f42c036.jpg and no, i dont know what happened, did you try to buff it?
I'm going to give you an answer based off 1) You used black or violet 2) That is plastic with the little black dots in it. Those plastic sides are 2 layers. 1 layer of a solid color, with 1 layer of black dots sprayed on top. Your ink sank into the top layer, and when buffed took the thin dotted black layer with it.
