well, to be real, i've always thought deja vu was a moment from a dream i've had that i can't remember, making its way to reality. what's really really weird though is the last couple times it's happened to me, it's been a part of a dream that i completely remember having. it freaks me out. like, i'll wake up in the morning and just remember parts of the dreams i had that night, and then later on in the day, one of those things will make its way to my vision in reality. then i feel like i'm in a dream for a minute.

haha u needa lay off the green mate.

as far as im aware dreams are caused by instances that happen in the previous day. ur subconscious mind takes in everything u see ... like everyhin peripheral n all that shizz.
wen u sleep what u see is your conscious mind tryin to make sense of all the random shit u seen durin the day. cos it canny just accept a big random mess of memory it makes it into sumthin comprehendable ... like a story whatever that makes up yer dream. thats why things u do in the day make an appearance in the dream.

n supposedly deja vu is when you witness sumin but ur mind stores it in long term memory rather than short term so its like a distant memory. fuckin dodgy.

aaaannnyyyywwwaaayyyyssss sounds like all your conscious/subconscious/short/long term memories are messed up hahahahaha.

its always interesting to learn the ways that great minds think but after the classes really focus on using the knowlege as a guide line on to how to better your own thoughts as to thinking in the same wave length of a great philosipher. what im saying is, learn how they think not learn to think like them.

If that's what she said, isn't that logically what she didn't not say?

idk much about philosophy, but i plan on taking a few classes in college.
today in english we were talking about moral philosophy and what it means to be "good"
    like what is good?
then we got into plato and aristotle definitions...it was definitely interesting

anybody read any of thoreau's stuff? i don't know, but for some reason, i'm just into the whole transcendentalism movement. we spent a good amount of time on that time period in english this year, and it caught my eye.

that whole thing woeinfinite was talking about- the definition of good -reminds me of thoreau. "Can there not be a government in which majorities do not virtually decide right and wrong, but conscience? — in which majorities decide only those questions to which the rule of expediency is applicable? Must the citizen ever for a moment, or in the least degree, resign his conscience to the legislator? Why has every man a conscience, then? I think that we should be men first, and subjects afterward. It is not desirable to cultivate a respect for the law, so much as for the right. The only obligation which I have a right to assume is to do at any time what I think right. It is truly enough said that a corporation has no conscience; but a corporation of conscientious men is a corporation with a conscience. Law never made men a whit more just; and, by means of their respect for it, even the well-disposed are daily made the agents of injustice."

i read sophies' world when i was 12. i thought it was a pretty interesting format to write a book in and dealt with western philosophical concepts pretty well.

there is no definition for anything because everything we see and define is interpreted by people in different ways. Life as we know it is subjective, so everything we do has to be interpreted (eg. color, shape, meaning, or any other feelings), and as long as we interpret our surroundings, we are always going to be right because there is no way to prove that anyone is wrong about how they see things.
Long story short (kinda): every thought and feeling is valid, but you don't have to agree with it because yours are too.
i hope i said that right...now i can't stop thinking about stuff like that

    definitely agreed mike.

how do we know color blind people aren't seeing the world how it really is?
what if my purple is different from your purple? we would never know.
What if when you take acid, thats what the universe is really like....
I personally think you as a human entity create your own reality. I am my own god.

    now my question...
Lets say there was a person born with no sight, no hearing, no vocal capabilities, no sense of touch, or smell. Basically a vegetable. Could they imagine anything? Could the human brain come up with anything on its own? Or is everything our brain produces created by experience of the senses? Do people who have been blind all their life see anything in their head?

Fucking, I've been thinking of that color thing for like 3 years. Thats so fucking true, and what if the way we see the world is completely different than the next person, we would never know. I think that we as humans go around the whole day predicting things that will happen, like subconsciously we are always predicting, and sometimes these predictions manifest into fears if realized, but if they go unrealized and they actually occur, we then realize that we where thinking that, and deja vu occurs.. I dunno, thats just what I think it is. :X

i was bunnin a head an lookin at the stars and i noticed that there seems to be less each year. what if the universe is imploding and we dont know it? until we wake up one morning and the sky is red cuz the sun is crashing into the planet

what happens if the universe disappears? what then? oooooooooooooo

WHAT IF! the stars are actually cells to a giant being which we know as the "universe" but its actually just some dude jammin out at his kitchen table. kinna like our cells in our bodies.

imagine if our cells were planets? fuckkk, i would have destroyed so many advanced civilizations that live in my head by bunnin.

the reason the thought of what comes after death is confusing to everybody is because we know nothing else. existence is really all we know. if we went on to something bigger and better, some kind of next phase, do we die in that one too? do we continue to live forever? if so, why? and also, how? where do we go? if we all live forever after death, does this place we go to have a limit of mass? is it endless? how is that possible? what would you do? would it be like our life on earth?

the thing that scare people the most is that there may be no life after death. it scares them and hurts their head because, like i said, existing is the only thing we know. its the only thing we've ever really experienced. it is a strange thought to everyone that it would be possible to cease existence. to stop interacting with everything around us.

    to never wake up.

i think thinking about it...its what slowly kills us.

i watched some wierd movie yesterday that said the universe is like a jeenie(sp) n that thinking im late for work this sucks n so on will make those things happen yet if you think ahh i wont be late the day will go smoove and be positive the universe responds to that and more or less it happens so what i got was if you really set your mind to achieving say making a million and keep working at it n taking the bad things n turning them into positive critisism instead of a big hits life should turn around and your attitude will therefore make other people feel more comfortable making them open to suggestions n so on .. im fuking confused help lol
