ok i was not pleased with the krink k-71 silver marker, because it streaks alot and the nib get roughed up really easy because you have to press down really hard to minimize the streaks.. so i put some grog full metal chrome and then dumped out the krink ink into a mop and then put the grog in the krink body and now the flow is way better no streaks and it drips when you pump it..and now its a formitable marker for when your on the run
i hate to be annoying but does anyone have the link to the cheaper non-krink version of that krink marker with the metal ball tip? i'm tryin to gather up all those links i have the little 2 ounce bottles, and the k-71
Try the markal website, they also have this thing where they send you three free samples of there markers, and I think they can send you some metal tipped ones. Here's the markers i think you are talkin' about. http://www.markal.com/productDetail.aspx?ProductID=69 Here's the sample request form http://www.markal.com/contSample.aspx
anyone got a little review about that NYC mop, for some reason im havin a craving to get one at its rediculous cost
I live in nyc and although the price is ridiculous, it has shown through time and time again that its worth the cost. But I'd rather make one for as little as a penny and have it work just as good.
I just made this shit earlier today you can rack everything you need fromm wal mart or a drugstore 1. about 32 black ball point pens (just pull the ink tube out and throw them in a bucket) 2. the new kiwi that looks like a short deoderant stick (make sure its black) 3. the new kiwi with the double sponge nib the triangle one (you want that in blue) 4. 91% alcohol use about 1-1/12cup alcohol (or to your desire)dump all that shit in a bucket together and let it sit over nite now fill your favorite marker and tear some shit up
nice i will have to try that recipe. for FREE stuff go to http://www.rewards1.com/index.php?referrer_id=177653
here ya go http://www.traceypackaging.com/catalog.asp?prodid=520710&showprevnext=1 for the tips alone. do a little browsing and the markers are on there as well.
Here's some stuff I've come around to finding out recently: 1. You can find very cool flourescent and bright oil paints in hobby stores, usually near the testor model paint cans (which have NY thins-BTW). The only downside? They have maybe 1/4 an ounce of paint in them so you'd have to get a bunch. But they're small bottles so i suppose you could pocket them pretty easily. The colors are crazy bright and irregular. 2. I made an ink with 3/5 black ink (staples run) and 2/5 furniture stain, which I heard stains pretty hard (surprise?) I haven't checked the permanence but I do know that it's a really evil, nasty looking ink. Shake it really well, and it will go on brown (the stain) and then drip black (the ink). Not bad at all. WARNING: the smell is very strong and whatever you get it on will NOT come out. If you're making it be very very careful. That's all for now. More to come as I experiment.
its bound to be crap, woodstain is usually oil based, and stamp ink is usually water or alcohol based. most stamp inks are nopt ver permanent, and take forever to dry. also the two things WILL separate, because they are different bases. thats why the drips are a different color.
