Yeah, CAP gave COPE2 his throw up, but it's not uncommon for a more experienced graffiti writer to give a toy his/her first throw-up to work on. He just sorta kept it. I don't hate COPE2. I think he's a tad overrated, but if I was all over the city like he is, I'd probably have an ego too.

I was never given a throw-up or anything either, but it wasn't that uncommon in the 80's, which is when I assume he started writing, so that makes sense. I still think it's kinda lame. Part of getting into graff is developing your OWN name and style. I wouldn't give another writer a throw-up, but it does happen.
It wasn't uncommon at all back then because a lot of writers were friends to each other and weren't beefin like every fucking writer nowadays, Cope is mad overrated though.
i helped 3 diff writers i personally know of get their style off the ground and their heads out of their asses. sharing is caring and having a mentor helps keep your ass on point
