Dope piece man!!!......I prefer your hand drawn stuff over your digital stuff. Can't put my finger on exactly why that is ???

    Thanks!

    Ya got me...

I feel like my digital stuff is heads and shoulders above my analog shit.

I think the hand drawn stuff has a certain rawness to it that is appealing to me. I guess its sort of like listening to vinyl over digital music formats?? Have you looked into any of the NFT stuff for your digital work? Seems like an interesting new platform for digital arts!

I thought about it, but it seems kinda gimmicky.

I would agree that it seems crazy, however, after researching some more I think it is probably going to be how most of the arts (art, music, etc.)will be distributed in the future as it gives the artist control over their work. I have checked out some of the NFT sites and the majority of the stuff on there right now is crap but a lot of it is selling. I feel like there is a real opportunity for talented digital artists to make a huge windfall with minimal effort! Just my opinion obviously!!

Satire you’re above my league but I like your pen and paper stuff more. With your digital you do the bevel style and fold the bars back .. with pen and paper I find your letter structures and style has so much more flavor

I think your digital drawing is too good ... I know you do it all but it looks so good it looks like a photo cut and pasted on there with a filter

Well thank you. Digital is my move for a whole number of reasons.

One is just that it is easier to carry around an ipad than a book and tons of markers and supplies.

My backpack used to weigh a ton and strained from all the stuff in it. Not any more.

Secondly, I feel like my digital work is light-years ahead of my analog work.

You mentioned it looks like photos. They are not photos. But in a way, isn't that a compliment? I am working on photorealism and one of my biggest struggles was maintaining the proportions and structure of things I rendered. I cheat a little and trace over sources to help me get that down, but my long-term goal is to apply photorealism techniques to other things like my own characters and letters, not just to portraits. I am learning so much because of my abilities to do digital.

Also, and this may seem a little trivial, but it's true. It is VERY nice to be able to correctly get lines connected. What I mean is, if two bars overlap, I like that I can draw them completely, including the spaces they overlap, and then erase, knowing that they actually connected correctly. In analog, I kinda have to go off sight. Sure, I can sketch it in pencil and ink it, but the connection starts to stray a bit later as I add color and highlights and whatnot. That might not make sense but it's true.

Also, this allows me to share much better. I will be doing a .pdf for free of my blackbook every time I get roughly 100 images. They will be high-res. So if you are into that kind of thing, it will be available. I am already at 50ish. I expect August or so to be finished with my first book.

And then there's the ability to experiment around with so many things like airbrushing and watercolor that were prohibitive due to cost.

Digitial is just better, and while I intend to still do analog on a much less frequent basis, I hope it does not lose people and their appreciation (which sounds VERY pretentious, so know that I appreciate it and don't take it lightly - I am just glad and thankful anyone appreciates it and hardly consider myself the greatest).

"DRIBZ" - This piece was inspired by @jeruthedamaja Come Clean lyrics - "Leave your nines at home and bring your skills to the battle".

I was finally able to cross the finish line with this piece. Was able to make my battle droid pop a bit more with the gold accents. In the end I'm very happy with the outcome.

This piece measures 18 x 12 and was completed using @artezaofficial markers & colored pencils, @artistro.artsupplies markers, & @pintar.artsupply markers.

For sale if anyone is interested. DM me for price.

    Thanks for stopping by.

Still don't know if I'll be using anyone of these for the battle but it's what I'm working on
