I love that mentality, especially for a new writer. Graffiti suffered greatly in NYC with the institution of the Vandal Squad and Gulliani's deliberate holocaust on the homeless, but graffiti has literally been around since hominids scraped rocks on walls. Graffiti predates any other form of communication. My goal is to use that gift to add color. My dude dapped me up at the bodega earlier like "What up, Big Foe, whatchu gettin into today?" "Grabbin this tall-boy, do a little day-bombing. Brighten this hood up a bit." "I been meaning to ask, where can I see yer shit?" I said "Well, if you drove here from yer crib, you did see my shit." He laughed and told me he did and to stay up. That's what it's about. I make art for hood-rats, drug-dealers, hustlers. They might not be reputable characters by societal standards, but they crave art just like every other fucking human being. We can't exist without it. But this coke-dealer from around the block ain't being welcomed into no fucking art gallery, so I get to give him a little something to feast his eyes on. That's word and makes me feel like a true king when this silly white kid in Dickies jeans is recongnized in the hood as "YO, IT'S BIG FOEONE WITH THE COLORS!"

Shit, this brings me back. I remember a lot of talk back in the day about silencing paint-cans with heavy-duty magnets. There was a damn BombingScience think-tank about it. It worked with the Krylon but honestly markers were never addressed. We were still making mops in those days. Now I'm curious because this Pentel is giving me all sorts of grief. Let yer boy know if you see any results.

get a sheet of felt cut to size of marker take the ballbaring and replace it with a nut or tape with electrical tape put them both in the marker. there's a big difference

I never tag without gloves and rubbing alcohol/antibacterial wipes are a lifesaver. Thanks for noticing. That way if I get pulled and the pigs go through my bag, I look more like a "legit" artist than a vandal. Good question.

I've boiled down motor-oil to a simmer to blend with my ink. It smells to high-hell but it frustrates the buff and that's the goal. I like the cement idea and imma play around with it.

Anyone fuck around with liquid copper?

What’ll it run through and are there any problems with it sitting in a marker?

Yep, I use it pretty often, but it's uses are limited if you care about your markers.
It will technically run through anything that normal thin paint would run through like mops and pump action markers.
But if your marker is made of plastic, like most are, it will eat through the plastic and solidify, and turn your mop into trash. That's because it's got xylene in it, like marsh T grade, pilot ink, etc. So if you do run in through a mop, make sure you know you're potentially sacrificing it, and pour it the night you're gonna use it, and then pour out the rest when you're done. Clean mop out with acetone if you want to keep it as good as possible. Isopropyl wont clean this shit.
I don't personally do that though, the best use case for this stuff is metal body pump action markers, like uni paint markers, krink k-71, k-72, or the Art Primo Pixo 38.

Oh, one more thing. When you shake this shit up in a marker, make sure to depress the nib while it's facing up. It likes to build up pressure and if you pump the nib while facing down it likes to make a fat puddle.

Smart, bro. I made em some acetone wipes packs.(i kno they asold but they more expensive and have vit e and aloe in them which i dont need) SOu get some baby wipes, let em dryout, get a nice clean heavy duty bud sack w the ziplock and some space to seal on the top, saturate the dried wipesplace in bag, heat seal it and make a lil nothcfor starting a tear to open it. Shits WILL come in handy.

I caught a vid not too long ago where these people went on urban foraging missions for garbage and debris they could make into. Rust things, Walnut/ nut shells and their tannins, Using copper in a way, can make a green type ink. I cant attest to the permanence of said inks but it It was quite interesting for sure.

Last marker I used was a Sakura SOLID Paint Marker, it was good but it felt like it was over a little fast. I'm looking for something that lasts a while, but is similar price and quality to the sakura. Any ideas?
