dude... just get some technic 1200mk2's ... about $400 a set, direct drive... will last forever, and the best part... u can resell them for what u got em for!!!

and the difference is that direct drive decks have the motor connected directly to the platter, and belt drive decks have a gear and a belt that turns the platter....

PM ME IF YOU LIKE DRUM AND BASS, DARKNESS, DUBSTEP, DOWNTEMPO, OR LOUNGE!!!!

anyone here effed with a MPD24??

"Akai Professional's MPD24 is the velocity sensitive pad controller for musicians and DJs working with sampled sounds. The MPD24 features 16 MPC-style velocity and pressure sensitive pads plus transport controls for interfacing with DAW/sequencing applications. With Akai's MPC 16 Levels and Full Level features for ultimate pad control, four selectable pad banks totaling 64 pads, six assignable faders and eight assignable, 360 degree knobs for transmitting MIDI Control Change data, the MPD24 provides unprecedented creative freedom for manipulating sampled material..."

I ordered this for Ant for Xmas...to join his musical toys....anyway...I messed with it earlier...and is it just me or do you have to TAP that mother or what???? Maybe I am just used to the MPC feel...soft n easy ya know...
Let me know if you know whether or not yours needs a freggggin TUFF TAP, or if I got a shady one...I am leaning towards this is just a new model and perhaps the pads sensitivity can be altered....if you can adjust on midi pad controller....blah blah...holla

Just a douche trying to work FL Stoodio, I guess I should download different hi-hat and bass samples.
Also, how do I do fills, if a fill takes up half of a bar before continuing the beat I have to change the length of my loop(?) space but then it changes my whole thingo to whatever I just changed it to, actually this doesn't make any sense I'll figure it myself :)

it goes really off-beat for like a half a bar when you do the roll thing with the hats, it's really obvious and something you should defs work on... i got fl studio xxl "producer version" (marketing bs..) off a torrent site and it came with tons of different samples, enough for just fucking around with if you're not too serious.

yo can anyone recommend me a good setup for a beginner? like what turntables go good with what mixers etc.

I need some input because no point in spending alot of money on something I'm gonna suck at using for awhile.

thanks and peace, and merry christmas
