xylene dont eat plastics like i thought it would.

ive had 2 plastic bottle filled wit it for about 2 months n nothin hapened to it.

xylene will eat plastic but not if its thick enough. like 0.5-1mm i bet ull you'll be ok cause its not 100% xylene.

well im pretty sure ded inside has xylene in it because it ate the top of a kiwi type mop i had which was very thin transparent plastic. but i have some in a zig woodcraft and nothing is wrong with it. the bottom shows some sign of the xylene trying to get through and u can tell because its a bit thinner where the marks are but its been in there for months and i dont think anythign else will happen.

so thats what im saying, the thicker the plastic the more safe you will be.

 

thats even happened to me with pilot ink. i cant remember the marker but the pilot completely fucked it up, it might just b fumes or a certain chemical, doesnt have to exylene but any other chemical thats acidic to certain plastics

I have the DED recipe and it doesn't have xylene in it. But it does have ingriedients that will soften plastic.

I heard that if you add leather dye to your ink it will stain better, and i just racked a kiwi if i leave some of that leather dye in there will it fuck up my ink or will it help?

 

kiwi is shit.i dont know if it will fuck it up but i doubt it will do much of anything you have to get good leather dye like griffin and shit

 

its not leather dye, its pretty much useless. just empty all the shit out and use the kiwi for a mop. and if u want a good staining leather dye get griffin or fieblings. got some a couple days ago, pretty good shit.
