i got a problem with one of my inks. i put artist charcoal in my recipe and (fine artist charcoal) when i write with it, it will come out like thick, caked on ink residue. Almost when u evaporate ink you see the residue, thats what it looks like when it drys. But it dosnt look lik that when its written with. Heres the recipe.
    Pen ink
    leather dye
    dot3
    reburt paper
    artist charcoal
    and
lead-i don't know why i put lead in it, i thought it would help.
Well i tried boiling it in my garage to see if the charcoal and chemical pigments would break down and that wasn't the answer.
    So...what do you guys recommend?????
    Thanks for the help
