I've searched around and didn't really find anything on this. Has anyone made their own ink before and posted it on here? I'm talking about making ink from soaking charcoal in alcohol, mixing it with gum arabic, etc. If someone has, please let me know what kind of recipes you have developed. I would love to make my own. I'm currently mixing some stuff together to find out what happens. Hopefully I can come up with something awesome to share. I want to try smashing some berry's to make a red or blue.
Everyone ever tried tattoo ink? :S I was by my friend tattoo artist and I saw the ink and that idea of using tattoo ink mixed with some xyz stuff or whatever and see how it works..:

what other things can i add like paint thinner coz i cant get any paint thinner, does nail varnish work and do u make ink out of acrylic just by adding water?
Hmm If I remember it was Green Bucket paint A little paint thinner Brake fluid and then it was too liquidy so I added a bunch of pancake syrup. and then i just let it sit and didnt touch it at all.
yee thickins that shit up ;] i guess i just made it too thick, which caused the nib to clog and the ink to just sit and solidify
the ink is food grade, theres never any ink stains in a tattoo shop! and thats mostly cuz they cover every thing but yea the ink is food grade you can just whipe it off your skin,if its not under it.
yo i just got a molotow 420 yesterday and was wonderin what inks you can use to refill it after it empties out. and yes i am a toy and this is a basic toy question but i figured it belonged here instead of the toy section of question.
what's the dif between the ink and normal paint? and i take it i can find just any ol ink in wal mart or some store like that
reason i'm askin is that i don't have any graff shops in my neck of the woods so i'm wonderin if i can find ink in some general store or any kind of public art store
look for rit dye black and look in the ink recipe thread and use the pen ink recipe all the items can pretty mush be found in walmart
thanks man and i'm guessin i can find recipies for some thicker ink cause the stuff the put in it when they ship is kinda liquidy
as far as i know youre not gonna be able to find inks in stores like that yopu can try staples and shit to see if they have garvey or some price marking inks or something but the only thing oull be able to get in wal-mart and stores of the such would be supplies to make ink. stop being lazy and make some gk or even acrylic those 2 paints are so easy to make flowable through a marker. or even some pen ink... its easy stuff.
