Would it work ok to just pour India ink or Higgins calligraphy ink into a woodcraft?

it will work, but it wont be perm or anything. india ink is water soluble so is higgins.

If your saying it will be pretty easy to buff then yeah i knew that, but on the bottles it says waterproof?...

It also says that it is diluted with water, that means it can be thinned down with water. So it is not waterproof. Higgins is only slightly better than india ink if not, it is almost the same thing. If you want good ink that can still flow through a valve action marker, then just boil the inks together to evaporate the water.

After that, thin it out with some alcohol to a favorable consistency. you can add some brake fluid for staining. if you want, add some leather dye to it.

depending on how hard its raining, and normally water based inks/paints are easily buffed if its on metal or plastic.

It'll be ok, it should really say splashproof, most india inks are ok with that, but heavyer can make it fade/run slightly, but the more absorbant the surface the better.

fuck so i guess the rain would make it run, only racked the inks because i ran out of my pen ink and im lazy as fuck right now to sit in my 100 degree garage to make more.. would adding a cap of brake fluid do anything at all?

the brake fluid wont do anything unless you evap the water first
if you're not worried about permanency than use it as it is.
