I'm going to do a piece tomorrow, and I need some advice how to fade colors. Haven't realy done that before, maybe someone has a video or something that shows how is it donne?
start with the darker colour the fade in the lighter colour using ur wrist turn away from the wall to produce a fade.
when i fade bro i usually just do the colours and the part that needs the fade i just fill dusty so like the can further away from the wall and vice versa with the other colour
are you still considered a toy even if you're up all over your town? like, my throw is kinda simple (some might say mediocre) but where i live i'm all over the place. or is style still everything?
gah I've been sketchin for about 3 months now and I've done like 2 or 3 throw ups I really wanna get a good urban style going before I try anything advanced but I still haven't picked a definite name. I really wanted to use Dare but that name is taken. I think I was gonna use "cretin" what do you guys think? I'm trying to find an urban punk name that suits my self-loathing personality.
i would suggest looking in a dictionary for a good name and try to start out with a simple name u can work with letters u can do with n prob
^^ that's actually how I found the word "cretin" They were in a thesaurus. I sketched it out, liked the letters and I'm working on proportioning it just right. Will post pics eventually need moar practice... >__>
Is there a way to make India Ink more permanent or at least more stainable? Because I have a fucken pint of it that I racked from my art class and I'm pretty tired of this crappy ink.
I guess you could let the india in sit out for a while and let the water evaporate a bit, then add it into some home made ink. Or add black pen ink into it and add etch.
Well, <<cretin>> in french means stupid, retard, etc. It can look cool if you speak only english, but if you live in Canada or France, people are going to laught.
simples? has anyone ever used the sharpie magnum? how would you say it compares to a legit mop, taking into consideration that for a mop you gotta buy/snake all the ingrediants whereas this magnum you just have to buy/snake it.
Erm...don't shake sharpies, they'll start to drip. Personally I would rather go with an acual mop, because you will be able to fill it with better ink, and it will write better on walls.
Magnums are like whatever. Theyre kinda big but smell terrible. Mops have a wide nib that can tear depending on the surface. They both have a downside but a mop is the better choice because it can be modified. Kinda...
as he said magnums have a really potent smell but they write fairly well depending on what surface you choose. Mops on the other hand depending on what you make it out of will last longer and you can put way better inks in it than the sharpie. so go with the mop or just fuckin take both that what i would do.
