Althought they all look good, Id go with the george orwell one. Just because the gas mask is used by EVERYONE. I made a couple gas mask stickers and realized that about 80% of street artists have that as a symbol. Looks good, I would just diverse it up a bit.
New poster. Charcoal, acrylic and marker on paper. Clear coated with spray fixative before it went up in the street. The symbol on her hip is the Japanese character for 'Pain'.
Has anyone tried using like a quick pancake or waffle powder mix instead of the flour? Because the main ingredient is wheat flour and it already has sugar and corn starch in it..
you still have to add the proper amount of water to it and cook it though. and it would probably be cheaper to get bulk packages of flour.
these are solid as fuck. i still cant paste. i wish cezr still got up like he did that one month.... anyone wanna dig up those flicks?
Ill probably just rack it if its worth it. But im wondering will it work good if I use a ratio that I would use with the flour like a 1:2 mix to water?
Ok ill try it out. Is that a good ratio though because im wondering if my regular paste is getting fucked up because of that..
thanks mate (id quote you ut i dont know how) I know everyone uses the mask, but no-one around here does and im proud to say that i made it all by myself (i didnt get it off of the net and write my name on it). Ive already printe it o to some stickers and put them up. Nice stufff mute, how do you do that? Amazing as always Indigo, does that have a personal meaning to you? Which pic do you think looks better, the first with grey name, or second with red name?
also, i use GIMP (Gnu Image Manipulation Program) to make most of my stuff, some is hand drawn though
They both look sick but i guess it depends on what you like. If you like more color and a creative aspect to your stuff, the red one because it definately stands out more.
kingxerlist- Kudos for making the image yourself. I still think it looks tight, I was just giving you a heads up that some of the people around might think its a bit generic. I like the one with the red font better though, it pops out more indigo- I love it. I havent really thought about using another medium besides ink on my posters, but after seeing a couple of yours I thought about experimenting with it cause I wanna be able to get a graded value that I cant with marker(Well I can, but I dont feel like cross hatching/stippling a 3x4 poster of barack obama). Ill have pics up soon, I got a few new designs, I just gotta find a camera to upload em :'(.
Ok I tried the powder pancake mix and it doesnt work good at all the pot acts like a frying pan I guess and it starts to cook even if you keep stirring it. But I did do a flour one with a new ratio so ill let you guys know how it works when I try it out tonight.
@ Kinglerxst - thnx. yeah this one was more art therapy than anything. Getting stuff out on paper helps me be less self destructive. @ CHUB - go for it, experimentation is key to growing as an artist. @ m+s - thanks. I was having a bad day when I drew it. like I said ^^, better to get it out than keep it in.
did the graphics in illustrator, rastorbated, printed and cut/taped it together (on the back side). just a regular printer, not sure how its going to stand up to the sun, i've heard negatives about inkjet versus it... what do you guys use to transport paste? my setup isn't really that great at the moment, just curious to hear what others are using.
large yogurt container, in a plastic grocery bag with my brush and wallpaper scraper. Nothing fancy, but it does the trick.
i was thinking about using an empty supplement container. has a screw lid and a handle, and could hold a nice amount of paste. i have one sitting around still pretty full. opening is about the size of my brush with no real breathing room but probably wouldn't be that big of an issue. this is basically what it looks like. [Broken External Image]:http://www.bluesuncorp.com/prorated_bottles.jpg if i could find one a bit smaller (this holds about 6lbs of protein), with same size opening, that'd be perfect.
