naw man its all good, go for it. all that shit will improve with time not from sitting at home sketchin in a fucken book. and if ur gonna risk ur ass u might as well do it in noticable spots. just finish the 3d at the top of ur letters

No NOMX...he shouldn't "go for it." Hes not ready. If you are gonig to be risking it and going for heated spots you want to be throwing up something good...not something like that and wasting a perfectly good spot. And yes "sketching in a fucking book" will help him. It will help alot more than painting at the stage he is at. And its not 3d...its a drop shadow. Getting help in the toys forum can definatly be counterproductive when recieving poor advice. Toys helping toys usually doesnt lead very good results. Pretty evident...

Elcs, chill, the only way to learn how to paint better is to actually go and paint, and if he's going to be painting why not use your paint in a better spot than under a bridge so you're not wasting it. Or at least that's what I think NOMX was trying to say. And yes, there is supposed to be a shadow on the top of his letters.

yea, i noticed that there should be some on the top after i initially posted. I was looking at it wrong i guess. But that changes nothing with what i said. He shouldnt be painting in noticable spots. ITS NOT GOOD YET! You want people to see that? You want other better writers gettin pissed at you for heating up spots? Spots where you shouldnt be in the first place. How does this make graffiti look to the outside world? That bomb is TERRIBLE. Maybe a few kids sittin here on Bombing Science like it...but to the people who are going to have to drive by that everyday its probably a different story. If it was a nice looking throw it might be different, but the majority of the population doesnt support graffiti...putting up crappy graffiti just makes it worse.

I cant really even tell what these letters are. I thought the first letter was an E...juding by the tag its supposed to be a P. The E and the P look the same. You cant really tell either way. The D looks like an O.

elcs maybe he doesnt want to be sitting in a sewer for months on end painting the same throw up like u did. maybe he wants to do this thing called gettin up. its a crazy concept i know. if he keeps on painting his shit will improve over time but he might as well be hittin shit up anyways. its alot better than other toy shit. and im not saying he should stop sketching becuase every good writer sketches no matter what.

NOMX...you just dont get it man. Getting up with bad graffiti is a bad idea! When you get better and look back on that...its embarrassing. You are an embarrassment to yourself and to graffiti in general. Nobody wants to see wack graffiti. Yea, I did hang out at chill spots for a few months...and ya know what Im glad i did. In six months I went from this:

    To this:

Im so damn happy that i didnt make my progression on heated spots. Would you wanna see that first one on the street? Would you want to see my development all along the way painted all over building, freights, and trucks? Fuck no! Nobody wants to see the evolution of a toy all over their city. Its disgusting. Seeing toy shit all over a nice spot is the saddest thing ever. NOMX...I know you love to talk like you know shit about graffiti, but news flash man...you're an embarrassment. You get up with gross shit and make graffiti as a whole look bad. The reason why i painted and worked on my stuff in chill areas is because i dont want to do that...I have too much respect for graffiti to do that. Looks like you and alot of the other toys are takin care of that though. Dont talk to me about getting up. Lately I've gotten my stuff down to the point where I think im ready. I go bombing in the city. I dont take a camera with because i dont have one at the moment. Even if i did have a camera i wouldn't take it with when i went bombing. And I dont really feel the need to drive back to the city to take pics just to prove to all the kids on BS that i really am getting up. This thread doesnt need anymore bitching. If you feel the need to continue this, pm me.

yeah that way ill have really nice pieces in my book, and then when i go out and try an paint them they'll look even worse than what i just posted?

practicing raises your skills so i think ill continue on painting. don't worry, they are chill low visible spots so i wont somehow make YOU look bad.

    PS. Nice sig. seriously.

nice pieces? by seeing what youve painted i question your judgment on what you call "nice". painting isnt that hard....its easy to get a fairly nice fill, outline, etc.

i still think you should stick to paper and not waste paint
