When I was in 8th grade my friend went to visit his sister in Barcelona and he brung a shit load of graffiti photos. In art class thats all we would practice. Good Times
i started graff when i was in like grade 7 and been painting and writing since...pretty much my buddies and just seeing dope graph on the block inspired me
back in like 97 i took a trip into toronto and me my brother and my pops where on a subway and we came out of one of the tunnels and there was this huge wizard looking charactor overtop of some pieces i think and it was the crazyest fuckign thing i had ever seen then in my hometown small town i spent alot of my childhood growing up in before i moved to a city there was a jet bomb on an old gas station and i would see it almost everday and between the two thats what inspired me to start writing..
I made friends with these kids from a different school, and their basement is all painted by them. They showed me their blackbooks and I was like shhiit that's cool. So I came up with a name and a shitty tag, and I've been into it ever since. This other girl got into it because of the same kids, and we became friends and started a girls crew, and we've been recruiting more girls into the graff scene.
I got into graff cuz i hated this one kid and he wrote some ugly toy shit everywere and wrote ***** and fuck god on churches and shit and would get props for it by the kids he hung out with so i would just go around lineing him and eventually made a shit ass tag and whent from there
when i first got into it, it was because of my uncle. he's only like 5 years older than me and one year he came down to visit for christmas and he was really into his graf and like he had a sketchbook full of all these pieces and stuff...this was when i was like 11 and i'd try to write...and it didn't work... so i stoped. but like everywhere i went when i'd see a piece i'd have to absorbe it.. then like last spring i meet this guy who was really into graf. and he'd take me painting and stuff...and i haven't stopped ever since.
I am not a ''writer'' thats writes everywere, and do not like wake up at 3 0'clock, for bombing. but I do somes and it was my friend(he is a bomber) that gave me the idea, but he doesn't like wath I do (I juste found myself writing, and I am not a super artist liks all of you!!)
just through seeing it all over the city and loving it...i skethced it for a while being an artist of all sorts...and than after chilling with my bomber friends began to understand the culture and how everything worked..than i eventually started painting and tagging and im luving it
i hate kids who admit that they did it just cuz their friends did not becuz they wanted to and they saw their friends...but literally say that they are just following tools!!!!............
