so i need some turn tables and a mixer? what about a drum machine? www.myspace.com/rotterdamterrorcorps <----- u can see what they sound like if u dont already know but thats what im into
yeh i know about hardcore/gabber. in fact i produce thats pretty heavily influenced by that shit. but if you just want to play other peoples tunes, then you just need tunrtables, or some djing software like i mentioned. if you wanna make your own stuff up you need a pc n some production software like fruity loops or cubase. n if ya wanna splash out you can buy some nice analog hardware, but that aint essential.... spose you could do it richie hawtin style n use decks n a 909 together...
thanx alot man.... i wanna make my own shit and so i can use turn tables? but i also need a program like fruity loops right.... sorry im asking so many questions im noob 2 this

damn this thread didnt relly take off did it? well, Im not really into production, Ive got some of the gear, but Im much more into battling and turntablism
whatsup i started DJ'ing about a month or 2 ago (when i got my tables) before that I fucked around on reason and used friends tables for about 4-6 months probably. i got some tech 12's mk 5 (price wasnt an issue really) and a numark mixer. im into dnb and trance mostly. a little hip hop too. i try to get as much wax as i can since i got em ive been just mixing, and scratching. lots of repetition but whatever its fun. any recomendations based on what im doing/like? i gotta think up a name sometime peace guys
I think a Stanton Package is a good way to start. Stanton is reliable and durable, so even if you dont know what the fuck your doing, your decks arent gonna get fucked up. If your first decks were techs, then your a spoiled asshole, or your making a lot of chedda. Either way, fuck you. It really doesnt matter. Decks are decks.
has anybody ordered from topdjgear online cuz i wanna order some new decks but dont know if i should get em from there and if anybody wants to order from there if you use this link: http://store.yahoo.com/cgi-bin/clink?topdj...w3E+index.html+ you will get a 5% discount with that link and when you check out there will be a box that says Coupon Code / Promotional Code and if you type in "myspace" there you will get 10% off so all together 15% off so yeah if anybody orders from there how were they? fast shipping, good products, helpful? and if anybody plans on ordering there in the future use that link and the code "myspace" for 15% off all together thanks everybody
im not into music produntion at all but i just found a pirated copy off cubais vst is it a ggood programe to use
I'm not really into hip-hop. I more of a rock and trance person. I got a Squier Fat Strat electric guitar with a Frontman 500 amplifier, a Korg PA 60, a Roland Groovesynth, and a Roland D16 mixer I mostley use Sony Sound Forge 8.0 for editing.
and MSE... sounds too...ummm it's ok, it's just sounds like too generic, yeah. Here's what I made with this program I found on the net http://ddrgeek.com/uploader/files/5/geekers.mp3 It's IDM, and I made it with this drum machine I programmed.
