Italy is probably one of my favorite countries Ive ever painted in, along with spain... most of italy has extremely prolific and skilled writers with a lot of style... with rome being the exception for some strange reason.. Not knocking an entire city, but Ive been to rome 4 times, and very few writers stood out as having style... shit was everywhere, but it was mainly shit. lousy tags done without fat caps on historical architecture with little concern for style. Spot selection was typical. The graff one will see in rome is not indicative of the graff you will see throughout the rest of Italy... Hard to understand why. Like I said, there were some good writers, ofcourse... but my overall impression was substandard compared to other major cities in italy and throughout Europe. Most of what I saw presented itself with a "fuck you...at least Im up!" attitude. One mans opinion. I love the City itself, and plan to return again shortly. search HITNES and ETNIK... these dudes can paint...
Everywhere in Italy I went, Rome & Florence you saw Graffiti everywhere. Even when I went to Athens, Greece you saw it everywhere.
