    what the fuck guys...

hardcore has always had a fashion that went along with it. you could tell who the hardcore kids were 25 years ago too. they had the shaved heads, boots, chains, tight levis...

late 80's saw the dunks, jerseys, crew cuts, bleached hair, etc

now its the dunks, flat bills, jerseys, camo shorts, etc

its not like now all of the sudden hardcore became a fasion, and all the sudden you can tell who listens to hardcore. it hasnt turned into a kind of person. theres always been a stereotypical fashion to go along with it. Just because that stereotypical fashion has evolved over time doesnt mean that the idea of a fashion itself is a new phenomenon. get over it and stop saying that hardcore has turned into a fashion, when there has been a fashion ever since its creation. there has always be poseurs, and there will always been poseurs. the fashion doesnt matter, buts its just fucking stupid as to say that hardcore has suddenly developed into a "kind of person" when there has always been a stereotypical "kind of person" since its creation. Just because that fashion has changed over time, doenst mean its a new phenomenon. just think about it, and stop

yeah seriously, fashion has always had a part in hardcore the same way its had a part in punk rock. just now it involves expensive jeans and A&F polo shirts. i mean im still wearing band t shirts and jeans, and hoodies, but fashion has a huge part in hardcore.

Props for elcs you said it right.

I puke on people, living solely on nyquil and donuts.

It's funny how in the beginning the image of punk was to be different from everyone else. Over time that small group or following grows. Then you got 10 million people who are trying to be different, but all look exactly the same.

It's time to get innovative. And I agree stereotypes are lame yo.

    Yeah im hardcore.

And im disapointed how the genre has turnedinto this girl pant wearing scheme

    i mean for a while

    it was ok

there was only a few guys who wore tighter pants

    but now its getting rediculous

    its to trendy

i go to a show with whatever the fuck i want and a band tee.

    thats it.

around here at shows people care more about the scene than fashion. the REAL scene here is totally real people, not so much the tough guy shit, even though there's a couple people with a little of that mentality. bands have said that even though the nashville hardcore scene doesnt have a ton of people, it's got more heart and real people than most of the others in america right now.

what's bad though, is that it's at an all time low. good shows draw an average of 30 people, but if it's a really good show, they bring anywhere from 60-130 people. bands still love to come back, though, because even though it's not a huge turnout, they get great reactions here.

    blacklisted on the 28th
sinking ships/iron age march 20th (i think i'm on spring break though)
this is hell/comeback kid march 30th
