then it wasnt you! stores dont put the magnetic strips on shoe polish.

you can also tuck your pants into your socks (if you dont mind looking like a dumbass) or into your shoes.

The only tip i could give is if u have a michaels wit a separate entrance and exit, leave through the entrance just to have some safe side action. Oh yeh if u live in an area where shit gets jacked fast, grab the shit u cant fit in ur pockets and hide it somewhere so wen u come back its there to rack, i do this everytime thers a new stock in...Also, if the paints caged in michaels, those dumbshits keep boxes of krylon sometimes on top of the cage, i walked out one time with a case of flat black kry like its nottin

i dunno if you guys said this earlier..but it helps if you leave at the exact same time someone else is leaving..so when the beepers go off they think its them and they stop. and you just keep going

just keep going anyway. Most places, unless they're small independantly owned places you shouldn't rack from anyway, they're not allowed to touch you. Just take video and get a description, try to block the door, or ask you to stop and hope you stop.

When I worked at BestBuy, all people had to do to get past LP was creep up on the door and bolt. They weren't allowed to chase them, or tackle them or even touch them. Just yell and then go through "the routine" which involved calling a manager, checking the video tape, trying to get descriptions from the people who saw them, and then filing a corporate report. Very rarely did the police get called unless it was mad expensive, and even then by the time the cops came they were gone.

Just make sure if you dash the door you don't get into a car nearby, they will write down the plate and you'll get caught. Just jet out the door and down the street into a side alley or behind another store, and make your way home. If you're driving, park in a different parking lot (another shopping complex, the further the better) and walk to the store. It never hurts to be extra careful.

Oh and since I hate BestBuy, cause they fucked me so hardcore when I worked there, here's some advice - if you want to steal a videogame, but its in that clear plastic security case (we call them Clamshells or lockups), all you need to open it is a knife.

On the bottom side, opposite the hinged side, there's a small electromagnetic lock, usually on the left of the case. In the middle, there is a small groove on the very bottom. It's actually a gap. If you take a small knife, and slide it straight in there, you can shimmy it over the electromagnetic contact, push up, the case pops open.

My suggestion at that point is slit the security seal, take the disc only, close the game case and put it back in the security box. Then, just hit the security case real hard and it will jam itself back shut, and it looks like it was never opened.

That's how I used to jack 360 games from the store I worked at, and they don't find out until someone buys the empty game, and even then they usually accuse the customer of being a con artist, since best buy is run by a bunch of soulless schumucks.

The only things at BestBuy that will set off an alarm if removed are cell phones, digi cams, camcorders, etc. Anything with a black spiral wire coming off it to a small beige or gray box that looks like a speaker. That's an alarm trigger.

The clear cases are just lock boxes that set off the detectors on the door. Speaking of that, if the alarm at the door goes off too much corporate will send out technicians to reduce the sensitivity. Some older BestBuy stores are so detuned that if you take an item with a security tag on it that would normally set off the buzzer, and hold it DEAD CENTER between the two posts, it won't set em off. The contact range will be just shy of overlapping in the center, since if it overlaps, they set themselves off.

Having inside knowledge rocks. I didn't pay for shit for months when I worked there.

I don't even think my local michaels has alarm sensors at the doors. I've never seen towers there, and I didn't see the eyes for stealth towers, either.

I really think they're rocking the "honesty policy" there. haha
