EDIT: Oh and Toke you can be forced to be a witness if they get a subpoena on you, but you won't be in trouble for anything unless when you show up to testify you act like an ass. Then you will get held in contempt of court. If you actually talk to the cops and give them false information under oath or not under oath that is a big mistake and your ass will get in trouble depending on the seriousness of the matter.

I look at it this way - would I have done the same thing in the same situation? If some guy shoots another guy because of "turf war" or some shit, whatever, that's just dumb. But if someone raped your wife, would you think twice about that sweet vigilante justice? I wouldn't. I'd be cleaning the SKS before I knew what was up.
