k so havent posted in here in awhile and cant find my last post but to jack jill and all the other peeps helpin me about a month or two ago i finally got my car 2001 honda accord coupe 4 cylinder vtec little over 65k miles on it automatic transmission leather interior its ballin but i wanna get more horses kickin out i heard hooking up a cold air intake will add a few but nothing special new exhaust system and new headers will help also but that only adds 10-15 (maybe) for all those combine and i wanna get more low pitched growl whenever i start my baby anybody? suggestions?
atom- intake exhaust and a header would let the engine breath better, and give you that growl...but thats about all...besides helping ANY future modifications....oh yea and maybe a few more mpg, but once you do those things, you'll prolly be drivin the car harder....so it wont matter about the gas mileage now if you wanna get serious with that car and make some power with it on a budget you can keep the auto tranny, and get an h22 longblock out of a prelude, or....you can go ahead and get the full swap, and then convert to manual....but thats not worth it you'd be better off finding a similar accord with more miles on it and a manual tranny, then use the extra money from your nice accord with 65k on it towards your motor and shit... hahaha i could talk about this shit all day....but thats what car forums are for.... ps. I LOVE HONDAS i got 3. oh yea, dont go cheap on your parts...you trust your life with this car right?
Is that 1st one a suzuki swuft with an s13 front end? or some other hatch with an s13 front end? Either way it looks disgusting, S13 FRONTS SHOULD ONLY BE ON S13's AND OTHER NISSANS!!!
if you want a manual but no one in your family can drive one look into getting a tiptronic or sportronic transmission with a tiptronic you can switch when the car shifts gears on the tachometer its hard to explain kind of and with a sportronic it can be both but in the manual mode you just click the gear selector to one side and thats how you shift up and down or switch it back to automatic and its auto but those kinds of transmissions are mainly on newer cars so if you can go for that and help increasing horsepower, low growl, and sexiness on 2001 coupe accord please? i am gettign a cold air intake for sure idk about new headers how expensive would that be? i am also looking into getting some underglow neons but that would take a while to save up for i checked with my autoparts store and they ve got the bulbs for about 120 a peice depending on color and i am not 100% sure how to install those but i have some friends who do so i ll talk to them
its a Hyundai, as noted on the valve cover. and the body and shit is completely stock on purpose. its called a sleeper
soon im buying a 1.8vti engine with integra gearbox....then im doing a transplant into a Ford Escort RS turbo 1989 model....Then I will upgrading the suspension, brakes tyres wheels etc....then will add the normal induction and new exhaust systems....have the engine polished and i might even do a rebuild of certain parts of the engine......then will upgrade certain engines parts such as the manifold to cope with the a turbo....then i will buy a bolt on turbo kit.....then hopefully will have a fast escort It all shouldn't work out more than about 6,000 pounds when i looked and did my research and it will be a very nice project car...... Also thats looks like the front end of a Ford Sierra Cosworth but yep near enough the same engine as the Escort Cosworth....I actually think the Escort Cossy is much nicer and worth he extra money shame they are like 15K for a fairly decent one.....but then again they never seem to go down in value
Oh well it sti looks shit, Also I know what a sleeper is, ALSO YOU YANKS DIDNT GET S15's AND WE DID!!!! But now the Silvia range was completely discontinued in '02 which makes me very sad .
Yeah I don't care, Honestly where are you going to be able to use all that power? Sure its powerful but so what powerful cars are more of an I-need-to compensate-more-than-you-fest than anything else.
