I do the block letters a lot so I got comfortable with them, and simple as they might look, still a bit technical in my opinion. definitely took colors into careful consideration as I went along here, trying to mimic the flowers on de la soul album art and even came across an online auction for the art from the original artist who drew the flowers. A soul warmer is an ultimate compliment haha and I think I went the extra mile since it was a tribute piece. Appreciate you man (the colors on this piece make me think of swim trunks lmao)
Yoyo - Its been a minute. Below are the final two bi-weekly entries (I know CRAZY late) in my personal blackbook. I ended up doing 39 straight bi-weekly entries. Told myself once I filled this book Im going to focus on some other to-dos. RAWX - I had this mirror design stuff in my head and I had this idea to graph paper in order to create this perfect mirror but, I didnt account for the fact that graph paper is really thin, so adding all the color was a nightmare. It was an overcomplicated idea for sure but, I accomplished it. FUNKY (eff-you-enn-kay-why) - Wanted to old school flavor to match the word. Not sure why Funky reminds me of something old school? Itsoweezee is a slept-on DeLa song, and Trugoy's only solo, to my knowledge. Despite it being so simple in construction, it is incredibly catchy, and many hardcore DeLa fans love that one... I mention it because you have the title in your piece, and I quote lyrics from it in mine.
