I had a friend that wasn't a tagger and i was opposite . In school i was always in the building doing nothing . So i asked my friend one day ( hes not a writer but kicks it with them ) what do they do and he just said sit and talk about shit . Then cause i looked like a little tagger i tagged along and yea then later found out 11-15 of them write . Now i kick it with them everyday

Step 1. Go out to a graff heat spot.

I met a writer at an uppity art store, believe it or not. He worked in the basement and had long ass dreads. His wife was like the manager or something. He doesn't really talk to me any more though, he's like 30. And I think he's having a kid. Also one of his friends came through one time but he didn't wanna sign my black book, i guess cuz he was with his kids.

Ive met a couple legends but i havent met many active writers, i met Spin 183 at a laundrymat in nyc, and i met Skeme , (yes the one from style wars who argues with his mom,) i met him on the train... Heres my advice : whenever you ee somebody wearing a hat with graffiti on it, ask them where they got it, theyre usually writers who made it themsleves

Met many greats. It's humbling to meet legends.
Best way is to go to your local graff shop or any where that sells paint.
Here in philly, there are writers blocks and everyone comes together and does books and chills. It's a great atmosphere for a young writer.
