I made a few designs and words on various surfaces with Grog Squeezers. One is wood, a tool handle specifically. The paint dried but it got scratched already and I want to protect it better. I have many other designs on discarded countertops and whatever I can find.

What would be an ideal acrylic-compatible varnish or protectant for wood & plastic-ish surfaces, for the ones I want to keep long term?

Clear spray varnish. If you use the tool it is going to get scratched tough...

Thanks. I found some spray varnish in my art supplies & I'll try that next time. Meanwhile I applied clear nail polish to my current project and it works great. If I try to scratch the paint, the varnish gets dented but the paint remains in place. Prior to that, a minor scratch wiped the paint right off the wood surface.
