I agree. Does that say "Sumo?" Could you point the letters out, please? Not hating. Genuinely curious.
Andy you got the bug for it which is the biggest ingredient needed. Just burn through page after page of pencil sketches. I’d highly recommend you find a writer you like and just study their shit ... study it, try and copy it, eat and breathe it. find your style and practice and practice that style. You seem to be doing a different approach every battle. Look at illfunk ... he has his style down and he rocks that style. you gotta find the writer you want to emulate and study their stuff and don’t worry about final product .. we’re basically doing adult coloring books .. it’s just a piece of paper. burn and turn is my approach
Whoever wins ... please switch out that U ... I know satire did this as a learning experience but fuck that letter U .. can’t do anything with it same as an O
So basically, you are saying "Fuck u." Fine! I see how it is! *SOBS WITH FACE IN HANDS* But for real though... I find the letter "U" very challenging too. I think "SOME" is a good followup.
I appreciate the words homey. I got a style of my own, but it ain't that great. Its the old school lettering type. Yeah, I'm old. So as you noticed I try to change it up just to expand myself some. More of a master of none and jack of all trades type of thing. And I never worry about anything. I throw something down and go onto the next. This is for fun. But I appreciate the words. And I agree, loath the letter U. Never liked it. Nope.
My vote goes to Classic. I like illfunk, and Caron and Urban both had nice handies. And that Andy submission was straight 70's album art funk to me. So all around nice work.
I'm voting for Theillfunkfreaka, clean black and white, but the fact that you looked up Kanji. Well played homey. Dope pieces. I'm surprised we didn't have E. Honda show up.
Eba gmv, they way you flared the top of the s, ouff claasic close second, idk how you dont like that playa lol
I think I liked making the stencil the most. It is derived from a statue of a Sumo wrestler and Justin Beiber wearing his hat sideways. Also trying to make the lettering look like dried paint on a wall.
