got a couple more tunes up, first one (Dimethyl Garage) is an attempt at something more dubb-ish/garage-ish, and the next (Waves of Warmth) is just more chilled vibes. Also got another on there you guys might not have checked out called Amnesia. Usual ish. Feedback appreciated, fellas. MAST WE NEED TO GET SHIT CRACKIN. SOON. :D

What up??? I just got Ableton and I can't stand the drums that I bought with it (sesh drums and "drum machines").... Just can't get em to sound to good. Maybe I need to add some effects to it or something??? Anyone got any recs on good electro house drum kits for Ableton???

Both! I actually have Live running on both machines, but prefer the mac even tho they're both old pieces of shit that hardly work. Why do you ask? Do you have some VSTi's or effects racks to present me with?? I'm also looking for a better software arpeggiator than the one that comes with Live. What's good???

i don't personally have any. i used to have some sites, but i forgot them. just search google for some free vst's. i was asking what you're running through because PC's are generally easier to find vst's and packs for.

    new track though.

Use more than one sample per track and maybe try adding some scratching or something. Pretty good for a week tho.

i appreciate it man, that feels good to hear.

and shifted it sounds like you've got a pretty good feel for how long you've been doin it. like chemcial said though, if your tunes are based on samples, you should change them up a little bit (around 3-4 times per song should keep people interested). also push yourself to use all the little features and effects as much as possible in your free time cause there's really no better way to learn how to use them.

tried out the new-wave wobble style. thoughts?

bump this thread yet again. remixed a song by Of Montreal. also played my first party saturday and finished that song just for the occasion. it was an overall success, great turnout, got my picture taken for the weekly newsletter that goes out all over UT, got offered to be put on some real shows, and got to drink for free all night.

    here's the remix:
