they take the coca leaves, saturate them in a solvent - usually white gas amongst other things - and then process out the alkaloids, which involves - get this - more chemicals!

the only things that can be taken from the earth "naturally" and used are weed, opium and shrooms. Heroin is processed with chemicals, cocaine is processed with chemicals (at least nowadays, due to supply and demand issues and the slow turnaround of the "traditional" manufacturing process"), meth, e and painkillers are nothing but chemicals...

Like, OK, Yes they are derived from plants INITIALLY but it goes through so many stages with so many chemicals that it isnt considered natural. For example Heroin.

It goes like this Opium > Morphine > Heroin

Morphine is chemically altered opium and Heroin is chemically altered Morphine. And that is only one of many examples.

Yeah that's because heroin's purpose isnt for pain relief. Heroin's intended purpose was to cure morphine addicts, but all it made the morphine addicts do is move to heroin. Not really solving the problem. That is why you wouldn't get it in the emergency room. They would simply give you a higher dose of morphine.

Funny thing is, synthetic painkillers are derived from Thebane, which is one of the chemicals found in opium (opium is thebane, morphine and codeine... natural codeine comes from opium, whereas synthetic codeine comes from thebane as well.)

Thebane on it's own is inert, and will not do anything for you... but add a few special ingredients, and you go: thebane -> codine -> oxycodone -> dihydromorphone

so yeah, inert chemical to dilaudid in fourty-two (not-so) easy steps.
